The main reason for starting this project was to create (in my mind at least) a balanced combination of functionality and articulation, while still maintaining the "old school" Mego style!

Many pieces were kit bashed from various figures with custom sculpting done to join the pieces seamlessly together.

In the process I have created four new figure types:

  • M3-1 - This was the first prototype and was used on several ToyFare customs. It has since been retired and replaced with the M3A
  • M3A - A is for Athletic. A slim build for the less bulky heroes
  • M3B - B is for Bulky A bulkier version of the figure to accommodate a stronger heroic build.
  • M3C - C is for Chick. A female figure type (Forgive the Chick reference, it was the only female reference that would fit in to the sequence. Besides, my wife said it was okay ;-) This was created in response to the appalling Mego female figure. Mego-fanatics may be stringing me up in effigy right now, but the female Mego figure left much to be desired. This is my attempt to create a female figure that would look both heroic and feminine

Each one of these figures is painstakingly handcrafted, held together with rubber bands and assembled with a respect for nostalgia. These figure types may be just the thing for customizers looking to fulfill their Mego fixes with a modern edge. Click on the buttons on the left to see more about each figure type!
